Harry Potter

I am in love with the Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling!

I have been an HP fan since the tender age of seven when my parents, and sometimes my older brother, would read a chapter of the first Harry Potter book to me before I went to sleep. I used to believe that I was exactly like Hermione, until I realized that there was more to her character than her gender and a love of books; these days I would say I am more like Ron. Although it is hard to choose, my all time favourite characters are Fred and George Weasley because of their comic relief but also their intense loyalty and bravery.

I have learned so much by reading the HP series. It taught me the true value of friendship, that you find out who you really are in the face of adversity, that there is nothing stronger than a mother’s love, and that there are causes worth dying, but not killing, for.

I continue to read this series every summer and I make deeper connections with the story and characters each year.
